AnswerHi Janet. Most people want to stick with white flowers for communion. Some of them that last well with little water are roses, dendrobium orchids, stock, snapdragons, Star of Bethlehem, bouvardia, carnations, daisies, Oriental lilies (also called hybrid lilies - these are the ones with the strong scent), gardenias and stephanotis, even mini calla lilies.
Things I would probably stay away from for flowers that will be out of water are tulips, godetia, lisianthus, and asiatic lilies (these have no scent), because they tend to wilt and crease easily.
