Question
I am getting married next October and am looking for sometypes of flowers that are avaliable that time of year that are also very rich and vibrant in color (no pastels).  Could you give me some suggestions as to what I should look for or expect.
I don't know if it makes a difference but I do live in the midwest.

Dear Cristina,

This is very awkward for me, as I am based in the U.K.

I'm pretty sure you will be able to get similar flowers over there, so I'll give you a few to look in to.

Gloriosa lilies (vibrant deep red/magenta with gold edging)
Calla Lilies (these come in rich burgundies, mango, burnt orange and gold)
Cymbidium orchids; there are some fantastic colours.
Roses; look for the rich red velvets and the burnt orange.
Gerberas come in many colours and are stunning
Lisianthus, especially the deep purple variety
Berries; hypericum, privet berries, viburnun tinus berries
Twisty twigs; contorted hazel and willow
