Can you advise me how to clean artificial flowers.  These are in a swag floral arrangement.

Hi Maureen.  Artificial flowers should be wiped clean with a cloth or a small water color paint brush periodically.  You can also use a can of compressed air computer keyboard cleaner to blow away dust if petals are too small or numerous to attend to with a brush or cloth.

Once most of the dust is removed, you should apply a spray silk flower cleaner.  There are many brands available at most craft stores, including Joann Fabrics and Michael's.  The sprays break down any dirt or dust that is not removed with a brush.  There is no wiping required with most brands, and the spray dries quickly.  Applying the spray regularly will also help retain the flowers' color and keep them looking new.
