I would like to ask the following questons:

- how to tune (trim) "Dimorphoteca Ecklonis white" ?

- is now the right period to trim it in Italy (rome) ?

Hi Domenico,
Many thanks for your question.   I am in the South of England writing this to you.  Dimorphoteca ecklonis is also know as Osteospermum. We grow it here during the summer months but have to move it indoors when the frosts arrive. This cultivar flowers from late spring to autumn so I would be more inclined to give it a very light trim in early spring. You could take cuttings from these trimmings too. Aim at cutting out any diseased or weak stems but I wouldn't prune it too harshly. If it has grown very leggy and untidy you could reduce it a little more.  Hope this has helped.  Happy gardening in Rome!
