Question
I planted several russet potatoes this year.  
plants have clusters of small green "balls" that appear to be cherry tomatoes.  My friend, who plants large quantities of potatoes each year says they are tomatoes.  Can a potato plant grow cherry tomatoes?  Each of my 4 plants has 1 to 2 of these clusters with 3 "balls" each.

I have never heard of potatoes producing tomatoes, however in the age of GMO and cross pollination anything is possible.  Did the fruit ripen and turn red?  Did the plant produce potatoes as well?  I would love to see a picture of your plants if you have one.
