Tiny black tomatoes

Question
I have tomato plants that contain many blossoms ready to turn into tomatoes.  I have lots of tiny green tomatoes.  Some of these tiny tomatoes have turned completely black-they look like a blackberry.  I pulled those black ones off and I did get a real red tomato today.  I'm wondering if it is black rot blossom, but it just isn't the same.  Thank you!

Answer
Mindy,

The plant flowers may not be getting the fertilization they need, which is usually done by bees or the wind.  Try getting more air circulation around the plants by removing all the large leaves  and support the plant to grow upright if you are not already doing that. Support bees and insects in your garden by planting flowers or herbs that will produce flowers to attract them.  Make sure you only water your tomatoes at the base as they do not like to get their leaves wet.

I agree it does not sound like black rot as this is usually a blackening on the bottom of ripen fruit.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any further questions.
