QuestionI am in Tampa, FL USA and I have started growing peppers from seed this year. I am growing jalapenos, cayenne, habaneros, bhut jolokia, and scotch bonnets. I picked my first crop but the pepper size seemed a bit on the small side. Is there anything I can do to get my plants to produce a bigger fruit?
AnswerRichard:
Peppers like full sun, watering every 2 days and light fertilizing every 15 days. Keep them mulched good to hold the moisture in the ground. The type and cost of the seeds you buy have a lot to do with the size. Normally the habanaras do not grow large but the jalapenos can be as long as 4-5 inches.
Best wishes and good growing
