QuestionIs there any time of year that fresh jalapeno peppers are not grown in Northern Thailand?
AnswerThe growing of jalapeno peppers in north Thailand is difficult under the best of circumstances. For example the mites, wilt, fruit flies, root fungus and others. The best time to grow is as follows:
1. Have your seedlings up to about 4-5 inches high by the end of November. Get them in the ground and encourage growth before the colder weather arrives. You can stagger your planting by 30 days and get 2 crops in. By end of April to middle May it is to hot for good production and it is asically over then unless you grow in controlled green houses.
Best wishes.
