QuestionI am growing green peppers from seeds that came from peppers I bought at the store. They are growing great - about foot tall, but I am not getting any flowers yet. Why is this?
AnswerPeppers take about 4 weeks after transplanting to bloom. They also need temperatures consistently above 75F. This is normal and is not a reason for concern. Just be sure to fertilize them once every ten days with a water-soluble fertilizer high in phosphorus. Avoid using products high in nitrogen since these tend to produce lush foliage and sparse blooming.
Good luck, and please write again if I can ever provide assistance.
