QuestionDear Elyse,
My friend has tomatoes & bell peppers in the same pot. There are some "pepper shaped" tomatoes on the tomato plant although the pepper looks normal. Is it possible for any cross pollination to take place between these two plants?
Thank you for your time.
AnswerSharolyn,
While it is possible for the tomatoes and peppers to cross pollinate, even if they did, it would not affect the fruits on these plants. The effect would not be seen unless the seeds of a crossed fruit were planted. It may be the tomato variety, or perhaps the tomatoes are growing against a stem or a support?
