Questioni've noticed black discoloration on my peppers. they are in containers. lots of blooms and peppers. discoloration seems to be on the same side of each of the infected peppers. ?
AnswerThis is actually normal on jalapenos as they mature. It's much like bell peppers when they begin to turn from green to either red or purple, depending on the variety. The color has no effect on the taste of the peppers. For most varieties, it is the first sign that the pepper is ready to be harvested.
