Question
I have been given a lime tree as a gift. The information that I have found says to put the tree in a sunny window, and fertilize pretty often but where I live there is no such place as a sunny place. I live in kentucky so I can't plant it. So for now I have a small grow lamp on it for about three hours a day. But, I'm not sure if I'm hurting the plant or not.  So any tips on caring for it would be great, because the idea of an indoor citrus tree is very cool.

I really don't have any experience with citrus indoors. I can tell you that 3 hours under the light is not nearly enough. I would leave it on for at least 12. Also, you say it is small, in which case it will probably still not be enough. The room needs to be warm also. Sorry I can't be of more help.
