QuestionQUESTION: My granddaughter is 4 and we started growing tomato's this year and the leaves are turning yellow but have small tomatoes on them. What are we doing wrong???
ANSWER: Joan:
There could be a couple of reasons for this. It would help to know when you started the plants, where they are growing (indoors or out), where you live - or at least the temperatures in your area. How big are the plants?

QUESTION: They are cherry tomato's growing outside. I live in Calif they are starter plants from the home depot about 12" high and have flowers and now little tomato's. I was told to use epson salt around the plants. I haven't done it yet. Thank you for the follow up questions.
AnswerJoan:
OK, I am assuming the weather there is warm enough, so that is not the problem. The problem may be with the plants themselves - I never recommend buying plants at mass marketers such as home depot - they won't have had the proper handling and care that you will get from a nursery. They will probably be fine given a little time. Adding the Epsom salts won't do much. You might give them a little low-nitrogen fertilizer, 5-5-5 or 5-10-5.
