QuestionI live in the northeast (NY)..I planted eggplant and tomato, peppers. one of my tomato plant the stem is still as small as a pencil and the stem is not getting any bigger like it brothers. The eggplant and peppers are around 6 inches high, not getting bigger, yet they are beginning to flower ( which I plucked out ) how do I get the plants to get bigger and stronger?
AnswerWhat is the weather like by you? My guess is that it is just not yet warm enough for these vegetables. Picking off the flowers at this point is a good idea. Are all the tomatoes the same variety? If not, that could account for some of the difference in size.
