QuestionHi Mike...this may sound like a stupid question but here goes. I recently planted strawberries with my granddaughter. I know that they produce runners that reroot themselves. My question is the following: Must I water the runners or just the original plant.

AnswerJohn, since the runners draw their nutrients primarily from the parent plant, all you have to do is water the original. Once the parent plant is spent (dies off after 2-3 years of production), the runner plant will have rooted and will survive on it's own.
I hope this answeres your question. Please write again if I can ever be of assistance.

Mike
