QuestionHi, We have raised beds filled with garden soil, horse manure and mulch. Since these tomatoes grow in volcanic soils is there anything we can add such as wood ash etc. We did not use any sprays or additional feedings for the regular tomatoes we grew last summer and did well. You might want to have a soil sample to test the ph. It would not hurt to mix a little lime with your soil.
Try to rotate the crops so you don't plant the same thing in the soil two years in a row. This cuts down on the possibility of nematodes and fungus.
