QuestionI am in northern MN. I have an acre cleared that could be planted. I would like to use it for a crop, possibly a 90 day sweet potatoes. Can you start them in a green house and transpant?
Would you have other suggestions in an area where the deer are plentiful?
Thank you,
Pat
AnswerDear Pat,
As far as I know, sweet potatoes have to be started in a greenhouse. I've never planted them like Russets. I always set out slips when I plant them. Sounds like a good crop where deer are abundant.
I wish you well.
Kind Regards,
Kindred
