QuestionI grew carrots and watermelon last year from seeds from a package last year and froze the remainder of the package seeds over the winter. Are they still good or should I buy new seeds? Thanks.
AnswerNoel,
I am afraid I will not be much help here. I personally have never stored seed in the freezer. I always store mine in a certain area, in the basement, in cheese cloth. I do know some seeds will do fine other not so well. If the container was air tight and they did not ice they may be fine. I do not know specifically about carrots and watermelon. The main objective to storing seed is cool (no fluctuating temp) and dry. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
