QuestionI started growing some pumpkins and corn last spring. When winter hit they of course died. Do I need to go through and do any trimming before spring hits, or just let them do their own thing? I live in Wyoming just so you know. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
AnswerSarah, you will need to clear the area and till the soil for this year's crops. You certainly can till the remnants from last year to help enhance the soil. The old stalks and vines will provide the soil with organic matter, which in turn will provide immediate nutrients to your new plants.
Good luck, and please write again if I can ever provide assistance.
