QuestionHi Mike,
I'm a bit overwhelmed by the options of seed catalogs. I don't see in your profile where you're located, but would you have recommendations for catalogs most appropriate to Southern California? Thanks.
AnswerRobert, the three catalogs I subscribe to are Park Seed, Burpee, and Harris Seed. All three sell seeds and plants common to every area of the country. As a matter of fact, you can enter the climate zone and their websites will make recommendations for your area. You can also contact them directly by phone and they will make suggestions and talk you through your selections.
You can log in and request a free catalog from the following links:

Living here in Ohio, I am not familiar with companies based out of your area. However, I did find one that allows you to download their catalog from a pdf file on their website. The name of the company is Albright Seeds, and they are located in Southern California.

One other suggestion would be to visit your local nursery and ask them for recommendations on different plants. You can then reference those plants back to the catalogs I listed above.
Good luck, and please write again if I can ever provide assistance.
Regards,
Mike
