Questionmy jalapeno peppers are turning black, and they're pretty small. any ideas on what would cause this? My bell peppers are right next to them and are doing fine. Also any tips you might have on growing kiwi wolud be appreciated. I've had them for 15 years, and in the past have produced good fruit. Though the the past couple of years they havent been so great. They seem to ripen to fast, and the flavor hasn't been all that great. I usually harvest about 150 or so every year.
AnswerCindy:
I have had the same experience with the jalapeno peppers. This is a fungus and you need to spray with a good fungicide. Please let me know if you are successful. I waited to late before I sprayed and the peppers never recovered.
Regarding Kiwi the only thing I can suggest is to make sure that they get as much sun light as possible. During the growing season fertilize around the base to the diameter of the tree and water in good. Fruit trees are a lot like people they have a limited life.
Best wishes.
