Question
I live in South Dakota and I am growing some tomatoes. Some of my tomatoes have been splitting on top of the tomato. Can you tell me why this is and how to correct it?

Dear Justin,
It has to do with excess moisture and sun at various stages of maturity.  It's a common problem this year with the unusual rainfall.  I've noticed my later tomatoes are doing it less.  Hopefully yours will too.
