Question
I am new to growing Jalapeno Peppers and I have a lot of peppers on my plant, I need to know the following.
1) Why are some red and some turning red and why are some green?
2) How will I know when they are ready to be picked?

Jalapenos are better consumed when they are green. You will notice some small stripes on the green ones indicating that they are ready to pick. When they are turning red this means that they are approaching completion of the growing phase.

Pick them green and make a nice salsa verda.
