Jalapeno plants

Question
My jalapeno plants leaves are turning brown and I can't figure out why? I water about every other day and I try to put Miracle Gro in with the water but nothing seems to keep the leaves from turning brown and cupping. I know I have them too close together because they're only about a foot high but they are blossoming but still no fruit. The only direct sun light they get is in the late afternoon and the temperatures are in the 80's. Can you please tell me what to do.

Answer
James:

1. Do not water but about every 3-4 days. To much water depletes the fertilizer.

2. I think that the leaves turning brown are caused by a fungus. Spray with an all purpose fungicide.

3. Inspect the bottom half of the leaves carefully to insure that there are no mites on them.

4. The blossoms should be turning to fruit. Give them a little while to pollinate.

Hope this works. Let me know how things work out for you.

Best wishes.

Don
