QuestionAlthough we are in the desert (S. NM) we have had a fair amount of rain and I find mushrooms/toadstools growing in and among my vegetables. Have quite a crop among the carrots. Will they "poison" the carrots?

I don't believe that the mushrooms represent a treat to your other plants. However, this characteristic of a damp soil so try to care for your vegetables and not over water them. Remove as many of the mushrooms as you can as are a fungus and could possibly contaminate the other plants.
