rotten watermellons


Question
all of my watermellons are rotting before they get bigger than a golf ball and my Zuchini is too... the zuchini the stems seem to rot and then the top of the plant just falls off i have taken them and replanted and they did root again but they just keep rotting what am i doing wrong?? i water them once a day usualy between 3-4p (not for the full hour ususalty about 15-20 min) so they get the same amount of water every day and if it rains i dont water at all...

This sounds like a soil bacteria problem to me. Fruit rot like this can also be caused by a fungas.

Did you give them a good fertilizing about every 15 days?

I belive that you will have to have a good soil treatment and rotate the area you plant in.

Disappointing as it is I know how you feel.
