Bugs are eating my cabbage. How can I control them and still be able to eat the cabbage??

Dear Ricky,
There are two things that wash off of vegetables and shouldn't affect them at all, but repel insects.  Diatomaceous Earth and Ground Red Pepper.  Try one and see if the bugs go away.  Since I don't know the specific bugs, I want you to know, not all are repelled by both, but one or the other usually works.
