Lime

Question
More rookie mistakes.  I put 2-3 tablespoons of lime in each of my container plants that are filled with potting soil.  Then I put 2-3 tablespoons of lime around each of plants in my vegetable garden that it based on garden soil.  I didn't check the ph beforehand, but was told to put the lime on the prevent end rot.  Have I damaged the plants?  Do I need to do anything to correct this?  Thanks.

Answer
Noel:

Time will tell if you have damaged the plants. Normally a Ph of about 6 is good for the average plant. You might try excessive watering to wash out the lime and then additional fertilizer.

Notice the plants and if the leaves start to turn yellow this is a result of the lime.

Best wishes and good luck.
