QuestionI live in cent. florida. I planted my green peppers in my full sun garden area. They were doing fine. Recently it's been really hot and now all the leaves have severely wilted. I have flowers and even a little pepper starting, but it seems to be overwhelmed. Do peppers not like hot Florida sun around the middle of June? thank you.
AnswerReese:
Leaf wilt can be caused by several things. Not enough water, to much sun and disease.
Try using a 50% plastic sun screen and keeping the soil nice and moist.
If this does not work, take a plant to your local nursery and ask him to check the roots for nematodes or another thing that he might see.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
