Question
I recently planted a heatwave tomatoes(2 wks). living in Arizona thought this would be a good plant.  I am finding my plant droops everyday.  Appears to need a great deal of water, more than other types I have planted.  What can I do to prevent this?  Rebecca

Dear Rebecca,
I think the only way to prevent a tomato needing so much water is to go back to the kind you were raising.  I try to avoid raising hybrids, altogether.  You just never know when the recessive gene will appear and the very "strength" they are supposed to possess will be their greatest weakness.
Go back to your old "tried and true" tomatoes.
