QuestionWe have a vegetable garden where we go various produce for our restaurant in Australia. We are currently experiencing a problem with little green bugs on our lettuces. We would prefer not to use pesticides of any kind, but are wasting valuable hours ensuring all bugs are removed from the lettuces.
Do you have any advice for us
AnswerDear Robyn,
I recommend diatomaceous earth to be sprinkled on the vegetation. It will not harm the produce, but the bugs are definitely repelled. The other natural product I can think of, is capsicum, as it can be washed off at harvest. That may work, but I would try the other, first.
I hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
