IT HAS GROWN VERY LARGE ALMOST FILLING THE WHOLE GREENHOUSE WITH LOTS OF FRUIT BUT WHEN THE FRUIT GROW TO ABOUT 3-4 INCHES THEY TURN YELLOW AND DROP OFF. EVEN THE PLANTS OUTSIDE HAVE DROPPED THEIR FRUIT. I WATER REGULARLY BUT DONT KNOW WHAT I AM DOING WRONG CAN YOU HELP ME PLEASE. THANKYOU
AnswerDear Ally,
I think the problem is too much watering. Scripture states "to everything there is a season." Rain comes naturally, by design in the spring after planting, and then again in the fall after harvesting. Too much watering causes the "flesh" of the produce to outgrow the skin or the rind, causing the growth to stop. We have had a wonderful crop of butternut squash this year, and it did very well through the dry period. Once the rains came a bit early and plentiful, we had the same situation that you described. The small ones stop growing and drop off.
If you are going to water, water according to rainfall.
Kind Regards,
Kindred
