QuestionHi Mike,
I continue to have difficulty with my yellow squash....after treating them for powdery mildew, older leaves have withered and died, and there is new growth at the ends of the vines. Should I cut off the leaves that have died? My fear is that leaving them will only add to my disease / mildew issues.
Thanks for your past answers....you have been a huge help!
Nancy
AnswerNancy, I would cut off the dead leaves and discard them. Do not leave them in the bed since they can infect the soil. If you are seeing new growth, the plants should be fine. It's when they wither and do not produce new growth that usually proves fatal.
Glad to be of help.
Mike
