QuestionI AM NOW FOR THE FIRST TIME (TRYING) TO GROW GREEN PEPPERS AND TOMATOES IN CONTAINERS. I DO HAVE A ROCK BACK FOR DRAINING. THE PEPPERS SEEM TO BE DOING FINE, HOWEVER DO I KEEP THE FLOWERS THAT HAVE OPENED OR DO I TAKE THEM OFF ONCE THEY OPEN???? READING OTHER ARTICLES, SOME SAY YES TO PRODUCE MORE PEPPERS OTHERS SAY LET THEM FALL OFF. WHICH IS RIGHT?
AnswerDear Laurie,
I am totally organic and natural. I let the blossoms fall away naturally. Sometimes, and only rarely, if too many peppers or whatever develop and start to cause undue pressure on the plant, such as breaking a branch or vine, I remove a few blossoms to preserve the already growing fruit.
I wish you well.
Kind Regards,
Kindred
