QuestionMy baby corn are coming up and the leafs are yellow instead of green, I think they are lacking something but I do not know what. Can you help? My soil is slightly sandy, and the corns are about two weeks old. I live in Washington. Eastern..This is a great website.

Sounds like the soil needs a bit of a "boost." Perhaps, the sandiness of the soil is permitting too much drainage. I would suggest adding top soil, then possibly some horse manure. Go very sparingly with the fertilizer, though at this tender age of the plant. Next year in the fall, I suggest mixing chicken litter in the soil where the garden will be planted.
