QuestionI live in northern MN and I am trying to keep a little herb garden in my
kitchen. My herbs are all doing well, but I bought this rospery plant at lowes,
and it was not doing so good t start with, so I repotted it and gave it light and
water (the bottom of the pot has gravel and it is a drainage pot). Well, even
though I trimmed it back it is drying up slowly. I am not sure what else to do!
HELP!
AnswerDear Micol,
Indoor herb gardens are possible, but I have found rosemary to be somewhat difficult at times. At first it seemed to just be happenstance, but I believe rosemary grows best in a bigger pot with plenty of soil, but still drainage. It seems to require quite a bit of moisture, as it has a substantial root system. My suggestion is to put it in a bigger or deeper pot with more top soil and maybe some mulch or peat moss around the top to retain the moisture in the soil
I hope this help.
Kind Regards,
Kindred
