growing bell peppers (first time)

Question
I'm in Northern California. I just planted my first vegetable garden -- in raised
beds. I started my peppers inside, transferred to outside to harden for a week
before transplanting, then planted in the bed. This was about 3-4 weeks ago,
and they don't seem to be growing. They are virtually the same size today as
when I transplanted them, yet don't appear to be dead. What should I do?

Answer
Dear Kelli,
Usually when transplanting, the plant doesn't appear to begin to grow immediately.  When transplanting, the root system gets established first.  It may take a month or 6 weeks for the above ground portion to begin to grow again.  As long as the leaves are staying green, everything is probably doing fine.
Kind Regards,
Kindred
