QuestionI've planted these in the past, so I don't want to appear totally unknowledgeable.. I am in Kentucky, by the way. Do the peppers change from green to red/yellow on the plant or do they change after picking?
AnswerHi Suzanne,
I'm in southern Missouri. We're practically neighbors! Red and/or yellow peppers do change colors on the plant. Sometimes, due to direct sunlight, one side may ripen more rapidly and begin to get over ripe. If you notice a one sided situation coming, go ahead and pick it, and set it in the window. They will finish ripening off the vine.
Enjoy, enjoy! I'm looking forward to fresh peppers again, myself.
Kind Regards,
Kindred
