Question
I have several tomoato plants that have lot's of green tomatoes on them but they're not ripening.  It's been about 10 to 12 days since they stopped growing larger...  How long does it take for them to turn red??  Sorry if this is a dumb question, this is only my 2nd spring to try a small veggie garden, so I'm still learning...

Dear Heather,
Not a dumb question, at all.  It takes awhile for tomatoes to ripen, and although you may not notice, the green just sort of fades to almost white, then yellow, to orange to red.  It does take awhile.  Don't despair, it's still early.  If they are healthy, they will turn.
