tomatoes not fruiting

Question
I tried to raise tomatoes from seed without much luck. I ended up with one very healthy plant and I bought a dozen seedlings in the spring, Burpee better boy, roma tomatoes and cherry tomatoes. The harvest has been wonderful except for one plant. It is now 7 feet tall, looks much healthier than all the others and has many many flowers but no tomatoes. The flowers eventually just fall off but no tomatoes. I suspect this may be the one plant I raised from seed, so it might be the only Burpee "big boy" in the garden but I"m nto sure. Our backyard is swarming with bees and all the other plants fruited wonderfully. Why isn't this plant pollinating!?

Thank you.

Answer
Dear David,
Sometimes seeds are from a hybrid fruit and they simply do not produce.  They may have an extraordinarily lush foliage, but they do not bear produce.  We have had that occur on occasion.  Tomatoes from seeds are just much more difficult than nursery plants.  If it has flowered, and there are other tomato plants, the varied strain should make no difference regarding polination.  With the details that you have included, it sounds like you may have a sterile plant.  I am glad you have had success with all the others.
Kind Regards,
Kindred
