bambe and mother

Question
how do I protect my tomatos from above, thanks

Answer
Dear Hstthomas,
This doesn't work everytime, but it works most of the time.  I presume your tomatoes are staked.  I have found that 1 inch poultry netting, or 2"X4" welded wire wrapped around the plant keeps it inaccessible to grazers.  It needs to be 4' tall, though.  You can even make it like a tent over your plants, just don't forget to leave yourself access.  We have many deer in our area and we raise goats, so I've had a bit of trial and error in this area and the neeting wrapped closely or a small circle made by 2X4 welded wire, works fairly well.  Warning, sometimes, the animals can put too much weight on this method and move the fencing, but it has been fairly successful for us.
I hope this helps.  We were having our fruit trees, as well as tomatoes munched, and this has helped immensely.
Kind Regards,
Kindred
