Question
Our cucumbers are bitter... we have tried letting them grow longer, shorter, turn yellow...to no avail, they are still bitter.  They are burpless variety... are we using too much water, too little water???  Thanks for your help.

Dear Paulene:

I am so sorry that I have no answer for this one. This year I even eat some lufa was bitter. I just don't know why. In the past there were almost 5 % cucumbers I bought the end were bitter when I lived in Beijing.

Do you know we have a kind of gourd we grow called bitter gourd. They have very high VC. But please do not eat bitter cucumber.
