dear expert, am from madurai, tamilnadu.. my qualification is sslc. and now am trying to got a govt.job. am studiying very well, but my big problem is memorize scientifical name(greek name) of any plants.. please kindly give me any shortcuts for easy memorization... please and thankyou

I learned the scientific Latin binomial names of plants by consulting wholesale catalogs...They list their plants in alphbetical order according to their Latin binomial names (buxus-boxwood, ilex-holly, juniperus-juniper, thuja-arborvitae, etc.)...Usually the common names will appear next to the binomial name...Many plant producers will also have excellent pictures showing the foliage of the plants with names attached...Call and request their wholesale catalogs be delivered to your address...Tell them you are a landscaper and you are interested in the plants they sell...Do call and requets from several suppliers...
You could also go to a Landscape/Nursery Trade Show and see all the growers who are in your area or a local botanical garden where they label their plants...
