I'm not sure if this helps at all, but the picture is at an elevation of 10,000 feet above sea level, at a latitude of 41 degrees North, and longitude of 111 degrees West. It's in the Uinta Mountains of Northeastern Utah.

It would help to have a picture farther away showing the whole tree...It could be in the fir family...But I think it is a western hemlock (Tsuga heterophylla)...Type this hemlock name into your search engine and compare the pictures to your plant...
Another good way to ID it is take the pictures to a local garden center for them to ID it...You may have to visit more than one to find someone knowledgeable...
