Flowering plants are classified by the structure of their flowers...
Yours looks like a type of Lily...
My guess is Gloriosa lily...Type the name into your search engine to get some pictures to compare your plant to...

You can also take a picture to your local garden center (not chain store) to find someone knowledgeable on your local plants...You may have to visit more than one to find someone who knows their plants...
