QuestionHi
We had a plant in our family garden for many year (it rooted freely as it wandered and spread so was easy keep going over the years)and i suspect it self seeded too.
Unfortunatly i managed to kill it while on a major tidy up of the garden and it almost had sentimental value so i really want to replace it.
It originally was grown from a root taken from very light sandy soil at a coastal location where it grew almost wild. It had soft hairy, narrow pointy silvery grey green leaves and flower stems. The flower stems were about 4-6 inches tall with a white single flower of 4 petals not more than 3/4 of an inch across. It flowered freely throughout the summer months.
I realise this is a difficult problem but any help or pointers you can give me would be much appreciated.

seastock
Hi Antony,
Thank you for your detailed description. I'm hoping it is Mattholia, or Sea Stock. Photo attached. If not, let me know. If it is sea stock, I think it will be easier to find seeds online, rather than plants. B&T world seeds has them.
