Question
is this a privet bush?
if so, which kind, it has white flowers in the spring, followed by green rather oval shaped berries, that turn red in early fall. The leaves are opposite, oval and smooth edged.
AnswerExcept for the red fruits, it looks and sounds like a privet. But I nave not heard of any privet with red fruit. If they turn blue- or purple- black instead, then almost definitely.
Opposite leaves and red fruit could be a honeysuckle, but they rarely fruit in this kind of panicle.
You've got me stumped.
