QuestionBush I want identified
QUESTION: This was planted 11 years ago, does not flower would grow to possibly 12 feet. If you trimmed it grows straight up. This past year I cut it down to about 3 feet, came back great. Local landscapers unable to identify, I want another or wonder if I can separate root in two. Located just south of Pittsburgh Pa
ANSWER: It looks a lot like a hazel. A close up of a leaf would help a lot. Also look to see if there are any flowers or seeds of any kind. In a shrub that size I'd expect to see some. Finally, a picture of the buds (at the tip of a stem and/or where a leaf attaches to the stem could help me identify it better.

QUESTION: Sent leaf photo sep, here is one more.
AnswerI'm afraid I'm stumped.
It's somewhat similiar to a witch hazel in growth. The buds, though blurry, look long-pointy like a willow. The leaf is too symmetrical for witch hazel, not toothed enough for hazel, too broad for a willow. I just don't know.
