Toad stool
This toad stool popped up in my prayer plant. It is exquisite, but don't know how it got there. This plant has been in this soil and pot for nearly a year and I've never had anything else growing besides the plant. Do you know what variety this is and why it would grow there? Thanks!
AnswerI don't know the species of mushroom, but I can tell you how it got there. Fungi reproduce by spores, which are microscopic, and travel through the air like dust. The spore was either present on the plant when you got it, or came in through a door or window. I have had this happen myself.
