AnswerI am not as familiar with the tropical plants of south florida as with those of the temperate areas, but I do know the royal poinciana... a very pretty tree. A quick search of the internet reveals that it will not withstand a freeze, which it does periodically in Orlando if I'm not mistaken, yes? Chances are, if they aren't available at local nurseries, there's a reason for that. If they are available, someone at the nursery may know more about their cold-hardiness. I hope that helps.
